Groundwork...

Post by stephen.lumley on Sat Jan 14, 2012 12:56 am

I say chaps, now would be a rather spiffing time to get some ground work done. we Could examine James Clarks body to see how he was murdered. Probably just a matter of paying a morgue attendent a few dollars. examine Carl stanford, who is he where does he come from, a bit of fun following him from p[lace to pllace without getting caught. Interview the bus driver is another possibility ( colonials and there buses, how undignified) . Or make a list of known members and see if there is a connection in there occupations.. Jerry Ollie... Whats your fancy?

On re-reading the newspaper article, you realise this won't be possible. The article addresses his puzzling disapperance, and although authorities suspect foul play, his whereabouts are unknown.

Well seeing as no one else seems to be interested.. I would like to interview the bus driver as to the where abouots of his sighting of the deceased and make a list of the people who seem to be members or frequent the club over the next few days..

Sure.

You have no trouble finding the bus driver by tracking him down throught the dus company.

When interviewed, he says he remembers a man fitting Mr Clark's description, riding on the 114 bus to Boston on the morning in question.

He remembers because it was very early in the morning (2:30am) and the passenger in question was, at one stage, the only one riding the bus at that hour.

He doesn't recall when the man got off the bus as a number of shift workers got on (via the front doors) at various stops and he doesn't remember seeing the man exit the bus via the front door, so most likely he got off via the door near the back of the bus. Which stop he alighted from the bus is unknown, but the last time he remembers seeing the man was just before the bridge over the river from Cambridge.

Ok. You spend 1/2 a day traipsing around the bridge and the neaby bus route, searching alleyways, back lanes, under the bridge etc but don't find any bodies. You ask the locals here and there but no one recalls either being out that time of the morning nor seeing the man in question.

The order has approx 350-400 members. The list of members isn't on record anywhere public (town hall etc), so you're not really able to get that information anywhere. The order itself would obviously have a list of it's own members, but that information is most likely stored on the premesis in areas that you don't have access to.
